HOT Blackberry Or Android – The Blackberry Z10 Vs. The HTC One X

There aren’t many people nowadays that would seriously choose a Blackberry phone over an Android. Android phones are notoriously fast, easy to use and decently priced. Blackberrys, on the other hand, are famously clunky, old fashioned, and still have that physical keyboard that means they have tiny screens. However, Blackberry has recently announced a lot of changes, with the aim of being more competitive in the mobile phone market. As part of these changes they released the new Blackberry Z10, a truly great looking phone (and completely touch screen, no physical keyboard at all). But does this Blackberry have what it takes to go head to head against a leading Android model? We wanted to find out, so we put the new Z10 up against HTC’s One X, one of the best-selling Android devices out there. We needed to know how they compare and what their differences are so we could tell you which one is the better buy. So if you’re in the market for a new mobile, then you might want to keep reading to see whether or not you should consider the new Blackberry…

Why You Should Get the Blackberry Z10…

Not everything is about looks, but the sexy looking Z10 has some pretty neat functionality too. It is the faster phone, running double the RAM of the HTC, making is more responsive and better able to handle multi-tasking or running more than one process at a time. It also has better screen quality. The Z10 has around ten per cent higher screen resolution, as well as ten per cent more PPI (pixels per inch). These two things combined mean that the display on the Z10 is brighter, clearer, crisper and more colourful than that on the HTC. Finally, the Blackberry does come in around ten per cent smaller, making it just a little more portable.

What the HTC One X Has to Offer…

But the HTC has a few tricks up its sleeve too. Firstly, you get a lot more internal storage with the HTC, which comes with 32 GB of internal memory versus just 16 GB on the Blackberry. That means you can store double the amount of music, photos, videos and data on your HTC. It also has a larger screen, measuring in at 4.7 inches rather than the 4.2 inches on the Z10. A larger screen makes for more comfortable web browsing and email reading. You also get access to a lot more apps on the HTC, simply because it’s an Android phone. The Android App Market has around seven times more available apps than the Blackberry App World, giving you that much more choice.

Which One is a Better Buy?

It’s actually a really tough choice, these are both top mobile phones and balance each other out quite well. In the end though, we’re going to go for the HTC One X. The combination of the bigger screen and more storage space really persuades us that it’s a better buy. But the Z10 is impressive too, and proves that Blackberry may have what it takes to be a part of the smart phone market once again.
