Samsung SIII Red – Why People Are Straying Away

People are going to have varying opinions of phones, much like everything else in the world. It’s important for us always remember that point, especially when we’re considering smartphones. Just because someone may say that they don’t think something isn’t that great – it doesn’t mean that it’s actually the case. There could be a number of reasons why, and that’s the case when they’re thinking about why they won’t purchase the S3. Of all of the things that are negatively said about this phone, there do seem to be a few common threads.

Here, we’ll talk about three of the reasons why people aren’t particularly happy with the S3, with those aforementioned threads being: size, screen clarity, and build quality.

Size

Let’s face it – some phones are just too big, and the S3 is no different. Most detractors of the S3 state that this phone is actually a lot bigger than they were anticipating. The screen size is 4.8 inches, which is generally more than enough for people to be turned off by. Make no mistake about it – this isn’t the smallest phone on the market, not by a long shot. It does fit well in many pockets, but there will simply be those people who really don’t think it’s necessary. That’s a really understandable sentiment.

Screen Clarity

The screen is actually one of the selling points of the phone, but strangely enough, it’s also one of the things that some people don’t like. In all actuality, while it is a pretty screen, it’s not as sharp as some of the other Android powered devices, namely the One X. This is assuredly a problem for people, but considering that you’re probably only going to own one anyway, most people can get over the fact that it’s not the actual sharpest phone available. However, it’s a valid problem, as any phone held in this regard should be suffering from something like this – especially if the company puts so much emphasis on it.

Build Quality

The build quality is also in question, and it’s one that really makes a lot of sense. Picking it up reveals some unsavory facts. It doesn’t feel as if it was made up with the best materials, and dropping it immediately becomes one of the worst things that could happen. It could spell doom for your phone. Also, the casing, while serviceable, isn’t scratch resistant. Again, this may not be a big deal, but after taking it out of your pocket a few hundred times – it’ll most definitely look like it. Lastly, the phone is pretty thin – like others – but this one doesn’t really seem to be able to stand what other phones can. It could be crushed, which is probably the worst thing that could happen. Holding the phone should inspire confidence that it won’t. The S3 does not.

The S3 is by no means a bad phone, but these three things are usually considered to be really important when considering whether or not this is a phone that you’d like to purchase for everyday usage.
